Many sellers here are very concerned about the new DD+7 payout change. Is there any chance that the implementation could be postponed or delayed?

A lot of sellers are currently facing serious cashflow problems because of this change, and many of us are trying to understand if Amazon is considering any adjustments or transition period.

I haven’t been trading for a while. I want to close my trading account, but I’m unable to do so because there is a £35.25 account level reserve on my account. Seller support is not able to help me, I’m stuck with an open account and no one can help! UNBELIEVABLE, a big mess!

Lets get down to brass tac's here. As of day 1 this gets implemented I am holding Amazon responsible to ensure my deliveries are delivered. Reason : Amazon obligates me to ship with 'Amazon Buy Shipping' through an 'Amazon Approved Carrier' that I can ONLY book through 'Amazons Platform' that I pay an 'Amazon' subscription fee to sell on, and now 'Amazon' is going to hold our legitimately earnt sales revenue for DD+7 days without covering lost interest then at some point 'Amazon' has to take ownership of the delivery ! Amazon know FULL WELL that Prime order MUST be delivered NEXT DAY! why do they need +7 then if it is only about ensuring delivery !

If you are paying 'fee' then you are entitled to a service, this might be 'disguised' as a change in terms and conditions but in reality they are charging us the interest we would have gained in ord er to, in their words 'reduces the risk of chargebacks, protecting both you and your customers'

if they are claiming to be 'reducing risks' then implicitly they are providing a financial service! Insurance or otherwise, call it what you will, its a service! With a service comes customer customer expectations and service provider responsibilities!

Amazon you're full of s***, of course it is a money grab!

Making money on our money...

Otherwise prove to us otherwise, instead of quoting generic policy or the surface level intent.

As stated below by all of these fantastic sellers, all raising factual and valid concerns!

Here at Atlantix, we produce less than a 1.8% return or defect rate over the course of the last 6 months.

Yet where is the money?! We have received less than 10% of our actual revenue made after all costs considered week on week.

I have to sit there weekly, manually reviewing each transaction as well, because your accounting structure muds the accuracy of any clear identification of funds, it is truly predatory and it baffles our entire team how this a legal practice within the UK...

IF we were a consumer, and not an LTD under 'such commercial selling agreements', Amazon would have been shut down a very long time ago by trading standards...

If anything it is a grey area, seeing Ombudsman mentions here - we know that we are in support of such investigation or review of the rolling reserve situation, and we encourage other sellers to voice this if anything is found for the benefit of all.

We have over £2k 'pending' in your reserve nonsense right now as it is, and I am unable to pay suppliers using business funds, let alone expand or order new stock. It's a constant personal bleed with this cashflow mismatch.

Our suppliers are in China, of course with a 2-4 month turnaround, from point of payment to live on FBA.

Surely it is in Amazon's best interest to actually allow sellers to access their working capital as soon as possible, so that sales can increase, in turn actually benefiting Amazon via sales commission ffs?!

Personally the core of my frustration, is that demand isn't our issue right now, it is in fact keeping the goods coming in which it feels and is structured in a way where Amazon is actually working against us here, especially when we are increasing week on week.

I should NOT be having to seek external investors right now to obtain our next rolling stock batches, to obtain that working capital which we did initially have, however the payout delays has certainly created that artificial problem that could have been avoided entirely.

Yes money was tight, yes expenses creeped up however no rolling reserve nonsense, we wouldn't even be in this situation.

Many sellers share a similar frustration I am sure.

When are funds released for these ?

This create cashflow issues and NOT "HELP" us as you have catered your words to suggest. For small businesses withholding 10-20K within your account is a make or break situation. This does not help provide growth. 1 week worth of trading when some of my SKU found traction increased my sales but Amazon withheld the amount for over 14 days and 5 days transfer time which made me take a loan because I was choked for cash. creating a downward spiral each month.

Needless to say Shopify pays next day. charges less and provides growth and does not force us to sell on RRP absorbing the amazon fees.

It is 2026 and You need to do better

I have contacted the small business commissioner for their feedback on this new policy. I will inform when I hear anything. Tbf they replied when I had an issue with eBay last year and were very helpful.

Amazon you're full of s***, of course it is a money grab!

Making money on our money...

Otherwise prove to us otherwise, instead of quoting generic policy or the surface level intent.

As stated below by all of these fantastic sellers, all raising factual and valid concerns!

Here at Atlantix, we produce less than a 1.8% return or defect rate over the course of the last 6 months.

Yet where is the money?! We have received less than 10% of our actual revenue made after all costs considered week on week.

I have to sit there weekly, manually reviewing each transaction as well, because your accounting structure muds the accuracy of any clear identification of funds, it is truly predatory and it baffles our entire team how this a legal practice within the UK...

IF we were a consumer, and not an LTD under 'such commercial selling agreements', Amazon would have been shut down a very long time ago by trading standards...

If anything it is a grey area, seeing Ombudsman mentions here - we know that we are in support of such investigation or review of the rolling reserve situation, and we encourage other sellers to voice this if anything is found for the benefit of all.

We have over £2k 'pending' in your reserve nonsense right now as it is, and I am unable to pay suppliers using business funds, let alone expand or order new stock. It's a constant personal bleed with this cashflow mismatch.

Our suppliers are in China, of course with a 2-4 month turnaround, from point of payment to live on FBA.

Surely it is in Amazon's best interest to actually allow sellers to access their working capital as soon as possible, so that sales can increase, in turn actually benefiting Amazon via sales commission ffs?!

Personally the core of my frustration, is that demand isn't our issue right now, it is in fact keeping the goods coming in which it feels and is structured in a way where Amazon is actually working against us here, especially when we are increasing week on week.

I should NOT be having to seek external investors right now to obtain our next rolling stock batches, to obtain that working capital which we did initially have, however the payout delays has certainly created that artificial problem that could have been avoided entirely.

Yes money was tight, yes expenses creeped up however no rolling reserve nonsense, we wouldn't even be in this situation.

Many sellers share a similar frustration I am sure.

So the first line states "Sales proceeds are released 7 days after delivery confirmation" - what about the approx 20% of deliveries Via non tracked RM48 that are not scanned as delivered even though they have been.

When are funds released for these ?

This create cashflow issues and NOT "HELP" us as you have catered your words to suggest. For small businesses withholding 10-20K within your account is a make or break situation. This does not help provide growth. 1 week worth of trading when some of my SKU found traction increased my sales but Amazon withheld the amount for over 14 days and 5 days transfer time which made me take a loan because I was choked for cash. creating a downward spiral each month.

Needless to say Shopify pays next day. charges less and provides growth and does not force us to sell on RRP absorbing the amazon fees.

I have contacted the small business commissioner for their feedback on this new policy. I will inform when I hear anything. Tbf they replied when I had an issue with eBay last year and were very helpful.
