FBA Stock sold as FBM?

I've just had two sales on some stock I'm selling and under my 'ORDERS' I'm meant to be shipping these items out myself, I've sent over my products to Amazon warehouse for the FBA service and when I went to check the listing it says clearly this listing is FBA..

@Seller_hdiripuJCUx8L Hello there!

What you're describing is actually a common scenario that happens when there's a timing gap between your inventory being received and processed at the fulfilment centre and your listing fully reflecting FBA status for incoming orders.Your inventory may still be in "Inbound" or "Receiving" status. Even though you've sent your products to Amazon's warehouse, until they've been fully received, checked in, and made available as "fulfillable" inventory, any orders that come through may default to your merchant-fulfilled (self-ship) offer if one still exists.

Go to Seller Central > Inventory > Shipments and confirm your shipment shows as "Received" or "Closed." If it still shows "In Transit" or "Receiving," your stock hasn't been fully processed yet.

If the issue persists after your shipment shows as fully received, I'd recommend opening a support case in Seller Central so the team can look at your specific account and listings.

Hope this helps get things sorted!

We have the same issue too, The issue is described by Amazon as Shadow Orders.

To fix this you are supposed to change the FBA listing to FBM for 24 hours with 0 stock and then change it back again to FBA,

I can tell you that it does not always work and this issue has been going on for us for almost a year now on some skus.

1. Your listing mistakenly identified by Amazon as FBM because a manual quantity was entered during the creation process.

To fix this Delete the current listings entirely. Re-create the listing, ensuring you select "Amazon will ship and provide customer service (Fulfillment by Amazon)" as the fulfillment channel. Do not enter a quantity during this setup. The quantity will update automatically once the FBA shipment is processed and received at the warehouse.

2. Handling Existing FBM Orders

Since you have already received two orders under the FBM status, you can fulfill them immediately to protect our seller metrics. you can use MCF (Multi Channel Fulfillment) through your Amazon Seller Central.

This allows Amazon to ship the items from our existing FBA stock to fill these specific orders.
