Do Listings go stale?

Hi Everyone

Do our listings go stale after many years of being on sale and subsequently lose ranking/views etc?

Was just wondering if it's worth deleting and relisting as some of my listings were first added a good 5-6 years ago now.

I know the other selling place say to delete and relist every 90 days.

You can say eBay, the ground won’t open up.

And eBay works on a listing system. Amazon however does not. It’s catalogue based and an ASIN can’t really be deleted.

If something doesn’t sell and falls down the rankings, it will obviously sell less. But you shouldn’t be creating a new ASIN for the same product. Now if you updated that product in some way, that would be fine, but you can’t delete the original ASIN.
