paying owed vat to amazon. clarification needed.
So I just received this email from Amazon after I agree to pay the VAT owed.
"Hello,
We understand that you would need support to pay the VAT liability you owe to Amazon. In order to help you, we would require below proofs from you so that we can assess your situation and come with an agreement on payment timelines. Please provide
(i) Past 3 VAT filings submitted to UK HMRC downloaded from HMRC Online. These can be accessed under “Business Tax Account > Your VAT Account > View Past Returns”. Please note that proforma / draft / excel workbooks are not accepted; And
(ii) Bank statements evidencing the corresponding payments of any liability to HMRC

What does this means? What should I do? I have never filed VAT with HMRC before.

I seem to recall from your previous thread that you said you are VAT registered now ? To be honest, I think you need to employ an accountant to get this all sorted out, and file your VAT returns - which are every 3 months !

I would have no dealings or dialogue with Amazon on VAT whatsoever if I were you. VAT is collected by HMRC, ultimately. The only 3rd party you want involved in your VAT dealings is an accountant, and the last thing you want involved is a psychotic robot.

Same here brother from last 2 months whenever i said i want to pay VAT i got same reply as you mentioned and i have applied for VAT registration no response on that FROM HMRC still submitted and from last 2 month amazon held my whole money they are not paying me
