Buy shipping preferences

Hi

If I try and edit my preferences it is asking me “Enter the dimensions and weight of the package and packing material for your most common package types.”

It’s allowing me to enter the dimensions but I can’t see a box for the weight. This means we’d have to individually add the weight of each package.

Any ideas?

We are also interested to know the answer to this question but think that if we can’t add the weight in Preferences, we will use an average weight within Buy Shipping as for our RM business, we know what these are for Parcel and Large Letter. They don’t make it easy do they!

Yes as Penelope_Pit-Stop said, the first time you ship EACH ASIN you will need to enter the dims and weight, for a few items it will auto-populate these fields based on the case size/weight on the listing (not product size/weight).
The only time you will see an issue if when a customer orders 2+ of the same item at once, though this will also be remembered for whenever a customer orders the same qty in future.

It doesn’t.
It usually automatically picks the cheapest option which both matches your preferences and the delivery requirements (i.e. despatch date and delivery date).
Though like everything on Amazon it uses a complex algorithm which takes everything into account and not just the price/etc.

If I choose to buy shipping through Amazon (not connected to my Royal Mail account) and say i’ve got 25 parcels, does each one need to be individually scanned at the post office or is there some sort of manifest that can be downloaded to hand over like there is for Click & Drop (OBA)?

From the managing directors office:

  1. If all items are sent via Royal Mail but just sent with stamps, are they exempt from the VTR?
You do not have to provide us tracking number for orders dispatched as untracked letters or dispatched through untracked delivery methods

  2. Should these items be marked as ‘other’ rather than Royal Mail to be exempt?
You need to select ‘Other’ only when you dispatch an order and do not see your carrier listed in the drop-down menu.

  3. Are all items purchased using Amazon Buy Shipping exempt from the VTR whether tracked or not?
No, please refer to the answers above.
