Amazon France customers are unable to complete basket on any item over 100Eur
Good Morning all.
We’ve recently encountered an issue in Amazon France, and after searching the forums it seems it hasn’t really been talked about by anyone else.
From 1st July , Amazon France customers have been unable to complete their checkout on any of our products that are over 100 Euros (We tested this by gradually increasing the price of a product until the error came)
The error says “We are unable to ship non-digital items to shipping addresses in France and Monaco” Please choose a shipping address that is not in France to continue. Some restrictions may still apply depending on the item."

Here are some facts about the issue from our end:
- Any product we set over 100 euros generates this error message to the customer.
- Some of our competitors are also affected by this. It doesn’t seem they have realised yet.
- It’s only Amazon France that’s affected, the other EU Countries work as normal.
- The problem affects MFN and FBA product offers.
- All our products are live, not suppressed, searchable by keyword, advertisements appear and customers are able to add them to cart and get right to the payment step.
Amazon has currently been bouncing it about seller support for the past four days, so we get the impression they don’t know either.
Because it seems that the issue came around the same date as the new IOSS rules in Europe, we think it may be related to this but there are no warnings , missing shipping setts, we are VAT registered in France, have EORI number in UK and France. Everything seems to be set up correctly. The other EU countries we sell in are certainly still working fine.
If anyone could provide some insight as to what is causing this it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, we met the same problem currently, how do you solve it? Change the ships from address to France address?

We have had a case open for 3 months. We have 3pl in the UK and Germany and the shipping settings for France are set to coming from the German warehouse. Customers however were still not able to buy from France on orders over €150. We believe it is because Amazon.fr is looking to the default warehouse in the VAT settings which will only allow 1 warehouse address, and not looking to the default shipping settings for Amazon.fr, when a customer attempts to order. Amazon have not resolved our 3 month old open case. We believe that changing the default VAT setting address would probably work but have not tried it as we don’t want to risk what it may do on the UK end. If any of you are brave enough to try it, let us know how it goes!
