Hermes Parcel Service
My Hermes carrier has seemingly got into difficulties and I do not know why but I suggest it may be to do with staffing. I ordered a courier to collect an order on 8.1.20. It was not collected that day and it has not been collected at all by 21:00 on 10.1.20.
I have tried to contact Hermes for an explanation but although I have done this through many avenues I have not been able to reach a person who can tell me why my parcel has not been collected for onward transmission to my buyer.
Is this a very local issue or is it affecting other areas than mine (N Wales)

Why not drop it at the local collection point instead, they are not great at collections, we use the drop of service it is more efficient and saves money,

Echo the suggestion to drop off.
If the Hermes carrier is in a car or small van it’ll only be returned to the depot the next morning anyway, which is the same as dropping it at a shop after that day’s collections.

I am miles away from a drop off point so that is not an option.
I have still not had any contact from Hermes so I am relabeling the parcel and will send by Royal Mail today.

I would forget Hermes altogether they are not cheap, as I got so many complaints, broken items, lost items and it got me bad feedback

As I have mentioned earlier, this is the first time that I have been disappointed. I find Hermes to be cheaper than Royal Mail, and I get the benefit of courier collection which helps as I am out in the sticks. I will not use them again until I get a refund and an apology as well as knowing what went wrong this time.

Hermes are usually not great in many areas, try to get the drivers details if I were you
If a larger item, use Despatch Bay, I think they are still giving free test parcels, use this link:

They use Parcelforce, but at a cheaper rate and up to 30Kg for a fixed amount. You can then take to the Post Office, or they will collect (ideal for parcels over 2Kg)
