Hermes not collecting parcels from parcel shop
Hi, I wonder if anyone had similar issue and if this is typical? I send parcels with Hermes sometimes, mostly small items. I brought several parcels to my local shop on Sunday, couple of more on Monday and several yesterday. All my parcels are still in the shop, among pile of other 100+ packages. I keep asking shop keeper if they know when Hermes will collect and they tell me they have no idea, that they also call Hermes every day, but driver just won’t show up.
I am getting worried as some of my parcels need to be delivered by Friday, so thinking of going back, taking my parcels and sending with another company.
Anyone had similar experience?

How did you buy the Hermes labels?
Direct from Hermes or via a 3rd party (Amazon or a parcel comparison site)?

Unfortunately you will find yourself stuck in a loop. We have had instances where the driver hasn’t collected from the shop but they usually turn up to collect the next day.

Maybe don’t mention amazon at all to hermes just ask why they’re not collecting from the parcel shop?

The Hermes driver will likely wait for parcels to build up, often collecting once or twice a week only. They won’t go everyday unfortunately.

You can email Hermes, but just ask about a parcel number as if receiving it and say it seems that it is still at the Parcel Shop store and not collected.
You will have paid for the labels, so maybe if the store give them back, take to another Hermes Store?
We have not had an issue with the 2 stores we take parcels to, but sometimes they may arrive 10am, so don’t go until the next day.
1 store near us no longer takes Hermes as no profit in it for them, so maybe your store owner has decided the same, and you dropped off on their last day of trading, so no longer down for a collection the day after?

Just to let you know I have tried previously to get a parcel back after dropping off and they wouldn’t allow it as it had been scanned already and he had no option to ‘unscan’ it.

Call hermes and give the tracking number and get through to a customer service rep. Put in a complaint that parcels are not getting collected. I had to do this with a next day delivery that wasn’t collected on the day.
My local shop sometimes gets missed if the driver has too many parcels or the shop stops taking drop offs if they have too many. I had to drop off 20 miles away as no local shops were taking parcels

Most certainly. When we moved in the summer, dozens and dozens were not collected and caused us major problems. No more Hermes.

I spoke to Hermes collection driver on Monday (he was emptying the locker), he said they were having collection problems due to a shortage of drivers, and they were prioritising busy drop off’s over quiet ones, ( I asked as I use two drop off points, and one was collected other one was not), maybe its same in your area

I’ve had similar issue but with collections from us, no collection for 2 or 3 days in a row…this has been going on since start of November, after 2 days I can’t risk a 3rd day so take them to local Inpost locker which accepts Hermes drop off and collection labels, but then have to fight to get refund on price difference of Hermes collection to drop off!
