I’m reaching out to share a challenging situation that our business is currently facing with Amazon, and I’m hoping for some advice or insights from this community.
Our account was recently suspended due to an issue with VAT verification. Despite meeting the UK establishment criteria, Amazon determined that we did not meet the VAT establishment requirements. To prevent further disruption to our business, we accepted this decision even though we disagreed with it.
After the suspension, we agreed to settle the VAT liability and requested a payment plan to manage the financial impact on our operations. Amazon approved the payment plan, and we accepted it. We received confirmation on August 1st that the payment plan was in place, with a portion of the funds reserved for the first installment and the rest to be released to us.
However, despite the confirmation, our account remains suspended, and the payments have not been released. This delay is severely impacting our ability to operate, as we urgently need access to these funds to sustain our business.
Has anyone else encountered a similar situation where their VAT verification led to suspension, and there were delays even after agreeing to a payment plan? How did you manage to resolve it? I’ve contacted Amazon Seller Support through various channels, but the issue remains unresolved.
