Seller verification

Hi All
I think after reading some of the past posts on here I have probably answered my own questions about this topic . Anyway I need to say something

I set up a seller’s acc three months ago and believed I was verified and ready to go , then after listing the product it started saying it was out of stock and unavailable. I then got messages saying verification pending. To date Amazon have taken 3 mths worth of money from me for having a seller’s acc. That I have been unable to sell from. I have opened cases trying to resolve this but get no response , other than an automated message.
I know of others who were verified in less than a day , at this rate I feel it’s going to be more like a year !!!.
Do people think it would be worth closing the account down and starting over again in the hope that the " system " will verify me.

Hi. I’m new and awaiting verification too but from what I’ve read here, every enquiry you make sends your application to the back of the queue so may be best to stop contacting the verification team in case that is true.

I have the free account but pro sellers also say you can request the payments taken from you back until verification is completed. Send an email to seller support.

Hi verification since around September has been taken on average of 4 month some taking longer some a little less.

You will be able to request a refund for fees if you downgrade your account until fully verified, I would advise against sending repeat emails as it adds to your case and makes the verification look like a new request pushing others ahead of you.

NO, NO, NO, DO NOT DO THAT - you will end up in a worse mess to sort out.

Go to Settings - Account Info - Your services - manage - and downgrade from Professional to Individual selling plan and you will not pay any more fees. Then request a refund via Seller Support Help…

8 months for me (started in may) . Sole trader to Limited company change.
Still waiting… Funds on fold for 8 months now :frowning:

This gets get me worried. I have just got an email from Amazon saying I need to re-verify. I cannot afford to be waiting around for 4 months while they do this.

Anyone know why they have to keep re-verifying every few years if your details don’t change?

I could understand it if you changed your bank card or address but if nothing has changed why do they do it?
