How To Close My Deactivated Account

My account was deactivated in December 2020 and despite multiple attempts to get it reactivated it remains deactivated. I have now given up and wish to close the account. Am even prepared, if I have to, to walk away from the £162 of my money they hold. Am not prepared to waste any more of my time on this account, time is a valuable resource for my business and could be better used elsewhere.

Any suggestions?

I believe you wont have an option to close the account for good. Amazon will keep it open in suspended status in case you were to try and open a second account as a way of working around it. Any particular reason you’d want to close instead of just leaving it in suspended status?

I regret informing you that your account is currently in an inactive status which cannot be closed/terminated.

To understand on how to close an account, please go through our help pages here

However, to work on the account re-activation would request you to share the first and last performance notification that you received from the team so that we can go through it and provide more insights on the same. You can go to Seller Central > Performance > Performance notification.

Thanks for replying. I wish to delete because I don’t see the point of having a dead account hanging around.

The 1st performance notification was in December 2020 but that no longer shows on the account. The 1st one that I can see is;

How do I reactivate my account?
Your Account Health dashboard (https://sellercentral-europe.amazon.com/performance/dashboard) has a “Reactivate your account” button. Click that and submit the required information. You would have received this information with the deactivation email as well.

Will my product feeds become active if my account is reactivated?
Your product feeds and information submitted prior to deactivation will not be reactivated. You can add it again using Manage Inventory either one at a time or in bulk (https://sellercentral-europe.amazon.com/gp/help/help-page.html?itemID=41&ref=ag_41_bred_200220550).

I have received this or similar messages many times, I reply with the information, then they ask for exactly the same info again. Which is why I have given up, from my perspective it seems like an automated system in a loop that I cannot break out of.

Hi

Thanks for any help given

I still do not believe my account can be re-activated, this is for the following reasons;

  1. My invoices for the products concerned are from a wholesaler, amazon do not accept wholesaler invoices, I cannot change this
  2. I was asked to prove authority to sell. The manufacturer refused to give me this as I was not their customer. The wholesaler refused to give me this as it was not their product. Both are entrenched in their positions. I cannot change this
  3. Invoices submitted have to be less than 360 days old, mine are now over 2 years old. I cannot change this
