Brand Registry - Eligible Countries - Greece

Hello!

In the Brand Registry rules it says that,
COUNTRIES ELIGIBLE FOR AMAZON BRAND REGISTRY

  • Australia Brazil

  • India

  • Italy

  • United Kingdom

  • Canada

  • Japan

  • United States of America

  • France Germany

  • Mexico Spain

  • United Arab Emirates

QUESTION: Does this mean, country of origin and the headquarters of the company, OR the company maybe from another country, but wants to do business in these countries.

In particular: Our company is based in Greece and our listing of products in the UK Market. Are we eligible for Brand Registry, because Greece is not in the eligible countries. But, we are sellers in the UK Market.

Does anyone know how really the eligibility works?

Many thanks in advance!

Hi,
As a European company of course you can apply for brand registry. The reason Greece isn’t listed above is because Amazon do not have a Greek marketplace.

For Amazon’s Unified European account registering your trademark with EUIPO may be of interest to you.

But to protect your brand in the UK you will need to register with UKIPO.
