Could I use a Deposit Account Balance Summary instead of bank statement for verification?
Hi friends, I set this seller account up a couple years ago but now that I'm getting back into it, I need to reverify.
Previously used my LLC statement for identity verification.
Personally, I've used Samsung Money for YEARS for my day to day needs, but I just finally made a real bank account. LOL. Anyways, I know a statement is required to verify identity, but my account is brand new so I don't have one yet. Could I use something called a "Deposit Account Balance Summary"? They gave me this when I opened the account because I said I needed to prove address to them, and they were kind enough to offer this to me to see if I can use it.
It has my address and name and the bank details on it, but can I upload this instead of my bank statement or do they strictly require a bank statement? I can do so, but I wanted to avoid having to wait for the end of the month for my first statement to generate. Thank you

Hi there, my name is CR. Unfortunately, you will need a bank statement to upload to verify your bank account information.
Verify your bank account information
- Go to Settings and click Account Info.
- On the Seller Account Information page, under Payment Information, click Deposit Methods.
- On the Deposit Methods page, click Manage Deposit Methods and find the bank account that you are using to receive disbursements.
- On the Verify Bank Account page, select Bank Account Holder Name.
- Click Upload Bank Statement to upload your bank document.
- Confirm the requirements for verification, and then click Submit for Verification. You'll be redirected to the Manage Deposit Method page, where the verification status of your bank account will display “In progress.”
Note: Bank account verification may take from 48 to 72 hours to complete. We'll notify you via email when your bank account has been verified or to inform you of any additional steps that are required. If you choose to use a different bank account for verification, or if you add a new bank account for verification, you must assign the verified bank account to the Amazon.com store from the Assign Deposit Method or Replace Deposit Method pages.
