We are getting Restricted Product Policy Violations in our Canada store due to listings that we did not list. They are listings that, for some reason, Amazon is automatically pulling from our US store and listing in our Canada store.
We sell supplements, which are regulated differently in Canada than here in the US. In Canada, every supplement for sale is required to be registered with the government. But we haven't done that, because we have only ever listed products in our US store.
I tried appealing some of the violations and explaining that we ourselves did not list the products in Canada. But Amazon replied with their copy-paste response about needing approval:
"This product has been identified as Natural Health Product (NHP) or drug product, and it is subject to the provisions of the the Food and Drugs Act (FDA) and its regulations. All NHPs and drug products must be licensed by Health Canada, meet labelling requirements and comply with the terms of their market authorization. Amazon policy prohibits the sale or listing of unlicensed NHPs and drug products. Before submitting an appeal please ensure the required labels, including the DIN or NPN and the ingredient list, are clearly visible and uploaded to the product detail page and that all claims comply with the terms of the product’s market authorization."
Cool, except that we DON'T WANT TO SELL SUPPLEMENTS IN CANADA. We have never listed these products in that store. It has always been some automatic, behind-the-scenes process that we as the seller never touched. We have a lot of other products that are fine to sell in Canada, so we don't want to lose the store. And I'm worried about how losing one NARF store could impact our overall account.
I asked our SAS Account Manager (Customer Success Manager) but she said she couldn't help with stores for other countries.
Does anyone have experience with the NARF program who can provide insight or suggestions of how to resolve this issue? Do any mods know how I can address the violations so our Canada store is no longer "At Risk"?
