Suspected Intellectual Property Violations - Incorrect, Please Help
Dear All,
Hope you are all well.
We have received a suspected intellectual property violation on Amazon for misuse of trademark. However, we have checked our listing and there is no mention of “Adidas” which is the infringed trademark they are stating.
-
We have appealed this via the seller performance section and we are getting next to no information, some of them say provide proof of invoice, we do this and they stated they do not require an invoice.
-
If we just remove the ASIN from our inventory, because we do not mind doing this as the listing is not live anywhere. Will this resolve the issue and stop our account health being affected because of this ASIN?
Thanks a lot.

no if you remove the listing it will still remain on the suspected intellectual property violation list.
and it is much harder to put the listing back on if you want to correct an error etc in the future in order to get it cleared.
make sure there are no references on the asin in the product details or bullet points.
we had one suspended previously because it used the word ‘canon’ not in a printer/camera reference but in the correct use of the word canon.
took weeks to get it cleared. we sent dictionary extracts etc - in order to get it cleared.
is there anything in the product image that could be confused for Adidas? (thinking the white stripes on a trouser leg etc)

try checking keywords (Search terms), it might show you search terms entered by other seller in grey and might some other has added adidas as search term. if that is the case add your own search terms, save and finish the listing. similar thing happened with me.

Hi to remove the violation, next to the violation there should be an edit button click on it and then remove Adidas from the description and text title and then click resubmit then the violation will disappear after doing so

Hi ok if not listed there is no worry

It could be part of a word that’s an issue. We had this with the word audio, the bots called it an intellectual property violation for 'Audi". I kid you not. In the end we had to delete the word audio from our listings to sort it out.

Thanks a lot for all your information guys, really appreciate this.
- I am trying to regenerated the ASIN that I deleted to appeal it.
- Regarding the TQ cold clipper I am trying to push Amazon to tell us the exact reason, but not having any luck. I have reviewed the listing on our inventory and we do not have anything we feel is causing any infringement.
- Someone mentioned here to just delete the ASIN and wait 180 days for it to drop out and that it will not affect our account health. Can anyone confirm this please.
Thanks a lot.
