IOSS Orders - Double Tax Charge by Royal Mail
We are aware of the 3 Euro per tariff heading import duty being levied on goods exported from the UK to the EU from July 1, and we are being charged these by Royal Mail via our OBA. However, for France ONLY, we are also being charged via Royal Mail’s Surcharge Supplement for import taxes, despite these being IOSS orders in both Amazon's and Royal Mail’s systems.
In effect, we are being double-charged in taxes. We have noticed that Royal Mail’s labels now show PDDP for IOSS orders (prior to July 1st, they showed IOSS). We can’t get any answers from our Royal Mail account manager. Our Royal Mail account isn’t linked to Amazon’s buy shipping. Is anyone else experiencing this?

But yes the exact same thing is happening to us also. Only for France! We have emailed our account manager and he hasn't got back to us as of yet.

Did you use the correct duty paid format as some are compatible with ioss and some are not.

LOL you mean the sales rep from RM bit like amazons account managers always there to help until there is a problem. As I pointed out to the other chap have you tried sending them HVD and then click on the taxes paid by ioss and duty paid by obs account

We raised a query with RM finance team and they refunded the duty about a week later.
