Business operating hours Buy Shipping

We have noticed a number of orders being forced to send via RM24 service on Buy Shipping.

Our usual Free shipping is RM48, however if the business opening hours are closed on that particular day then amazon only give us the option to send via RM24 at our cost. This has only just started last week, its something amazon have just introduced and its eating in to our profit. Is anyone else noticing this issue?

Here is an example, The business on this order is closed most of the week so we only have the option to send 1st class or RM24 at our additional cost instead of our usual free to customer RM48 service

It must be a problem in the system somewhere, Customer is closed over the easter holiday but amazon are forcing us to use RM24 where surely the customer when ordering would have been told free delivery would be Tue/wed after the Bank Holiday

We've just had the same with a Business customer. If it is a new thing with amazon I must have missed the email.

I've just had this again. Forced to spend shy of £3 to ship a £4.99 item via Evri. After Amazon's fees, I've made just pennies.

Amazon should just extend the delivery times in these instances.

yes i have also been getting this problem for a few days in the last 2 weeks

as a workaround, I have posted them using Royal Mail 24

but today I have no option to even use Royal Mail 24 - only more expensive shipping options which will result in a lost on sending out each order

having contacted seller support myself, i got a response like using a chocolate teapot - can anyone from amazon uk who monitors these forums please get some visibility on this issue urgently

if this is something that amazon uk is going to stick with, then it will no longer be economical to send amazon orders via royal mail 24/48 - i will have to increase my prices or stop all amazon listings with low prices

Doesn't appear Amazon are taking into account the bank holidays (no surprise there). I printed 2nd class labels and I'm being told they have to be shipped by Monday.

You can still manually use Click & Drop and use RM 48, but then you may get a defect against you if not tracked by Amazon as being delivered. (Amazon do not track Letters at all, and using RM Tracked 48 CRL, Parcels and Large Letters only track if scanned by the Postie).

Amazon use RM delivery date information, and if they consider you have to use a faster service to get to the Buyer by the estimated date, then that is all you can choose for Buy Shipping.

So, you probably need to use Buy Shipping, RM 1st Class Letter at £1.70, or RM 24 (Large Letter) (CRL) at £1.89 if larger item. Both are only slightly more than the 48 service, and then no VTR defects if an item arrives late.

You need to build in the price if some may have to use the faster service.

I pick what I want from click and drop then enter the tracking in amazon, not has a problem so far.

We are having the same issue - even though almost everything we sell can be sent as large letters which would just be posted through the companies letter box even if they are closed.
