Amazon Prime from the other side
My mother ordered something on Prime that never arrived so she asked for my help. Under her orders it says that this item was delivered and handed to a receptionist. Now, my mother doesn’t live in a hotel or an office, it’s a normal residential house, with obviously no reception. I have obviously complained but the point is that unlike for other couriers there is no photo nor GPS coordinates so we have no idea where it was delivered. Now that I know how strict they are with sellers, this paucity of information is quite infuriating. And another point if I want to give public feedback to Prime there is no way to do it as far as I know, this was from a third party seller on Prime, commenting on their store would be wrong and I can’t comment on the product for the delivery.

my daughter had this exactly - it had been flung over the garden gate - in the rain …

Have you reached out to Customer Service @The_London_Link ? Something similar had happened to me before and they resolved it.

From someone who ships with Amazon, the defiantly do have GPS tracking and mapping data available and via chat to see if the location is accurate to the address
But no photo, 99% will say handed to household member (which dobt is accurate)

Yes your correct, claim rate on Amazon more claims in 3 months. Is more than RM we have had in about 10 years.
The only plus side is as insurance is up to £50 we do get the full order value back on claims and all a-z claims for non delivery have been paid (excluding hazmat)
So weirdly not out of pocket as such just time in dealing with them.

I had one where it was “handed to resident” what they actually meant was left on the street overnight in the rain…
I can only assume that the “resident” they handed it to was a local spider or maybe a nearby moth…
I was lucky that the product inside the box (well what was once a box) was shrink wrapped and not a product that could not be damaged by water, also amazed that the box was even still there the next day considering its a busy road and it was left practically on the street
Its so annoying because of the standards we are held to, which are ten times what they would ever expect from themselves

On order I placed using Prime on Sunday I was told to expect delivery Monday
Monday I had a message from Amazon shipping saying they could not deliver as they could not access front door - total lies. I had both RM and Evri deliveries that day and my ring doorbell proved no one else had attempted delivery.
Then when it was delivered Tuesday it was just left on front step - no signature.
I wander if I complain I will get a refund as it was both late and no signature. Seems Amazon hold us sellers to a totally different standard than they hold themselves.
