Competitor selling through a dissolved company
Getting a bit fed up with this, I have a competitor who’s company was dissolved a while ago, but they are still trading on Amazon under the dissolved name. Is there anything I can do? I tried SS but as it wasn’t a product issue they just closed the case.
Any ideas gratefully appreciated. Seems unfair they have an advantage not paying tax

Amazon do checks with Companies House from time to time as other sellers have had issues with the info there not matching that held on Amazon. So at some point Amazon will notice.
Not sure you can make the claim that they aren’t paying tax, but either way probably best to focus on your own business and let the relevant organisations do their thing. If you did want to do something then i believe you would need to contact The Insolvency Service who are the Government body that take reports on directors still trading after the company was dissolved.

It is illegal for anyone to trade under a dissolved company name. The directors of the companies can face consequences if they continue to trade once the company has been dissolved.
To be honest I wouldn’t do anything if they are doing this. It will catch up with them at some point. Amazon will likely deactivate their account when they check with companies house. Alternatively HMRC could catch up with them at some point.
If you really want to report them then I would do it outside of Amazon, a google search will probably tell you how to do this.
You also don’t know for sure they are trading under a dissolved company name, they may be in the process of updating their Amazon details or there may be an issue with Amazon showing outdated information.
