What is the point

What is the pouint of the Amazon surveys!? Its more than evident when you look at the posts on this forum that it is of general opinion the the whole Amazon experience is geared towards the purchaser and we as sellers are basically treat as pond life yet they keep on putting the surveys up like this mornings asking about return processes. If everyone is like me I’m sure there are some replies that should change things but it never does. Yet again I have been basically shafted over by a customer wanting a return for what I believe to be an invalid reason and its cost me to the tune of £85.

In a way, it is relatively easy to manage customer returns - because there’s barely anything to manage anymore.

You know in most cases the customer will have been refunded at first scan - all you need to worry about is opening a safe-t claim if its damaged etc or if you believe and can show an invalid return reason has been used.

The main element of the returns process that needs resolving is claiming for lost returns - which is still a mission impossible.

Out of interest, how is the return costing you to the tune of £85? Yes theres outbound shipping and return postage costs - I take it the returned goods are not resellable in any way?

Many of the topics of the surveys arise when that particular topic is being vigorously debated on this forum. To my mind that means that some department of Amazon is reading this forum. I always say that all sellers should answer the survey in order to confirm that sellers generally are unhappy with a particular procedure.
Whether Amazon then actually do anything about any of the problems being discussed is open to question. One thing that I think for certain is if we are asked , for example , “Amazon’s feedback system is fair for sellers and buyers — do you agree?” and then very few sellers answer then we have a problem. Amazon can then turn around and say “hardly anybody has said they dont like our feedback system so we will not change it”
Yes I may be in cloud cuckoo land but I am living in hope.
