User buying and cancelling multiple orders
A specific user purchases the most expensive item in my inventory, then it goes on pending, then they cancel it, they have canceled a total of 11 orders this week, and are still continuing ordering and cancelling. Every time they order and cancel, amazon does not update my inventory stock amount, just today this buyer purchased 10 items that are over $900 each, and have been pending for 8 hours, which they will probably cancel it, after all these cancellations they have left me a bad review that is false, and haven’t purchased an item, I’ve contacted amazon they haven’t replied for 3 days, does anyone know the solution to this? Can i block them? They seem like a competitor attempting to put my product down.

I think it’s a tactic used by other sellers, to reduce teh ranking of your listing. Perhaps a mod could confirm if cancelled orders are used for metrics against BB win rate etc.

Please be aware Amazon own systems will detect when a buyer keeps adding the order to the basket without going to checkout and then deleting the order. If you go to your order history and select cancelled orders you will see all the orders there. You can select cancelled orders by ASIN or other search criteria. We used to be able to see the buyer name however since the system update the buyer name is not shown.
We had the same issue some years ago same buyer kept putting the item in the basket for days and then deleting the order. Only three weeks ago we had a buyer order large quantities of the same product then waited 8 days and cancelled the order. I know personally I won’t leave items large quantities of items in a basket and not go to checkout. Maybe this buyer thinks it will have some impact on your sales?

We had this in the past where a buyer kept purchasing any FBM inventory for a specific asin. We got to the point where they were placing 100+ orders a day and they were all getting cancelled.
We didn’t think too much of it but then started to receive warnings from Amazon for manipulating rankings. We couldn’t understand what we had done wrong but then realised that they were on about this asin that was being ‘abused’.
Ultimately we had to remove our FBM listing and just use FBA for that asin otherwise we would be risking our Amazon account.
It’s a tactic that’s two fold. They increase the ranking of your listing with all these orders, then you get suspended for manipulating rankings. They then take over the listing and it’s new ranking.

I am not sure how quickly Amazon system detects that a buyer is Amazon their system or they only react when the seller hits the report buyer?

It may be a competitor trying to damage your listing. I would report it to support and just say it is a competitor that is breaking Terms of Service by attempting to manipulate the algorithm. Request that they investigate and deal with it.
