How to determine customer name when buyer is Amazon?
I was searching under orders, and I noticed that hundreds of orders were made by Amazon. When this happens, it doesn’t show the customer name.
Under which circumstances does this happen and is there a way that I would be able to determine the customer name?

The customer is Amazon itself! That’s all you will be able to know

There are 2 common situations where this happens.
The first is if you sell (usually via FBA), Amazon will occasionally purchase your items in order to sell themselves on international sites, sometimes this system goes wrong and they actually sell your items for less than you on the same listing, then when they get a sale they buy from you to fulfill the order.
The other situation, is where you are not a business seller, a business buyer who prefers sellers that can provide VAT invoices has found your item and Amazon has decided to provided them with a VAT invoice, by purchasing your item and selling it to said customer themselves.
Both situations rely on the fact that Amazon gains seller fees for your sales and not their own, this allows them to compete with your prices even when they’re purchasing from you. In both situations you get more sales, though both can be turned off from the settings pages.
There’s one other option: Amazon are actually buying your product for themselves.
