Amazon Removed our variation Listing

Hi Community
Can anybody explain why Amazon removed our Variation Listing.
Please read below message from Amazon.

Hello,

We are contacting you because an ASIN variation you created violates the ASIN Creation Policy. We have separated the ASIN from the variation family. No further action is required from you at this time.

Why did this happen?
Sellers on Amazon.co.uk are not allowed to create product detail pages with invalid variations, which include, but are not limited to:
– Adding child products that are not true variations of the parent product.
– Changing the parent product’s detail page so it does not match the child ASINs.

We’re here to help.
To learn more about this policy, search for “ASIN Creation Policy” in Seller Central Help (https://sellercentral-europe.amazon.com/gp/help/G201844590).

Please review your other listings in the Inventory section of Seller Central to make sure that they follow our policies (https://sellercentral-europe.amazon.com/gp/help/201186860).

Hello,

Thanks for your post.

If you had both of these items in a variation set then Seller Performance are correct in breaking the variation.

When listing laptops on Amazon the only variation theme currently available is for colour. These products appear to be different in their technical specifications which is not an accepted variation type in the category.
The following screenshot shows the available variation type available for laptops at the moment:

Even if these items are different colours they are not identical products and should not be listed as a variation.

I know that you may already be aware of the following help page but it may be useful for others reading this thread to view the Variation Relationships Overview page and linked pages within it.

Thanks,
Jessica
