Full name not supplied by buyer
Quite often, I get orders where the buyer has only supplied one name, as in their first or second name only. It is not unusual for me to get an order where the address given is merely ‘John’, for example, then the full house address.
It’s quite irritating as I then have to mess around contacting buyers to ask them for their name. I cannot dispatch to a single name only, aside from it being a little reckless from a security POV, I also cannot raise postage via Royal Mail without a complete name of recipient.
Why on earth do Amazon either only supply part information, or allow orders to be placed without full information?

if you link your Royal Mail account to Amazon and use click and drop, you won’t have that problem any more - it just automatically fills in the fields for you

I run order reports daily and invariably find that the full buyer’s name is in there, when it just shows delivery to “john” or any other first name

Maybe some customers may wish to be under the radar?
It doesn’t make any difference when you buy your RM shipping through Amazon. Whatever information is supplied, comes out on the label. That might be John, Jane, Jones or just 28. All RM actually require to deliver is a house name or number and the postcode apparently.

Why can’t you ship to single name only? What happens if ‘Pele’ orders from you!
