Amazon Buy Shipping - Customer charged £5 to collect

We've had a number of customers tell us they've had to pay £5 to collect their item from Royal Mail due to insufficient postage. They were shipped as 1st Class Letter and only weigh 30g, so no reason at all for this.

Anyone else seen this issue this week? It's all situated around the date 10-12th August.

Hi Stickers_On_Your_Wal,

It's possible that, as the Buy Shipping price is the same as Click & Drop which is lower than over-the-counter an inexperienced postie might think the postage is 'short' and sticker the item with a Fee To Pay sticker

I had one like this recently (early June and in Oxfordshire) and it was a struggle to get R. M. to accept that their postie had made a mistake!

Best of Luck

Brian

The £5 fee is for fake stamps or no stamps i think, how did you post them, using Buy Shipping?
