Digital Services Fee - 2% of SOA as well as 2% of FBA?
I noticed in my transactional view that I'm paying 2% of FBA fee AND 2% of SOA for the digital service fee?
For a start what is SOA, and how come I'm being charged both? I thought the digital service fee was just 2% of FBA and thats it?
Any clarification would be helpful! Thanks.
2% of FBA fees (£2.91)
2% of FBA fees (£0.00)

Selling on Amazon fee - things like the referral fee. It is charged on the FBA fee as well as the other SoA fees.

On October 1, 2024, we’ll introduce a digital services fee for digital services taxes (DST) that are implemented by the governments of Canada, the UK, France, Italy and Spain.
The typical DST rate is 2% in the UK and 3% in Canada, France, Italy and Spain. Since 2021, we’ve accounted for DST by increasing Selling on Amazon fees in the UK, France, Italy and Spain, and Fulfilment by Amazon fees in the UK and France. Starting on October 1, we’ll reduce these fees and account for this cost by introducing a stand-alone digital services fee.
DST charges are unpredictable as they vary based on the location of your business, the location of the buyer and other factors. Rather than base the digital services fee on these location variables, which would create an unpredictable business impact because you can’t know the location of customers who will buy your products, we’ll introduce a fixed digital services fee only based on your location and the store in which you sell.
