I want to highlight a common issue and convey my message especially to the policymakers. My UK seller account was suspended, and my appeal was not getting approved. The reason for the suspension was that I couldn't provide a utility bill to verify the new account. By the time I arranged the utility bill, the appeal option had expired, and I could no longer appeal.
After some research, I found the option to close the account and delete the data. I decided to use this option to create a new fresh account. However, after closing the account and deleting the data, when I created a new account, it got linked to the old account. Now, the appeals for the new account are also not getting approved.
My question to the policymakers is: when the data deletion service is provided, why is the new account still getting linked to the old account? If the old account is closed and the data is deleted, why is it attaching to the new account? I have explained the entire situation in the appeal for the new suspended account, but it is still not getting activated. I am completely disheartened.
The purpose of posting this discussion is to make other sellers aware of this misunderstanding. Closing an account and deleting the data with the intention of creating a new fresh account is pointless because the new account will get linked to the deleted account. This issue is not getting resolved, and I am completely disheartened.
