MRN and EORI required for France

Hi all

Received the below message for Amazon today that they forced me to acknowledge in order to prevent the account being suspended.

Hello,

You must provide a valid Movement Reference Number (MRN) for all shipments to Fulfillment centers in France and a valid Economic Operators Registration and Identification (EORI) number.

The French General Tax Code requires Amazon to maintain customs documentation records for goods stored in French fulfilment centres on behalf of non-EU sellers. Amazon must comply with these record-keeping requirements as a fulfilment operator in France.

These requirements apply to you if:

- You're a seller not established in the EU

- You dispatch goods of non-EU origin to Amazon’s fulfilment centres in France

To provide your or your customs representatives’ MRNs and EORIs, follow these steps:

- Go to your Shipping queue (https://sellercentral-europe.amazon.com/gp/fba/inbound-queue/index.html) .

- Locate shipments received in French fulfillment centers, since January 1, 2020.

- Click Import details under Status column.

- Select ‘This shipment has import records’ from the dropdown menu and continue to enter the required information.

- Enter the shipment MRN and your or your custom representative’s EORI number.

- Click Save.

If you are not established in the EU, and you have bought the goods locally in the EU, you are not required to provide import records. Please select the valid option in the dropdown menu, that applies to you. You are legally entitled to receive MRNs from your logistics provider or courier. Depending on the arrangement with your customs broker, you must provide to us your shipment MRN and either your EORI or that of your custom's representative.

If you’ve used our customs brokerage services, we automatically collect MRNs on your behalf. No additional action is required.

Note: Your customs broker or freight forwarder can provide your MRN, which appears on customs declarations. If you need an EORI number, obtain it through EU national customs authorities.

For more information on French General Tax Code requirements, go to Article 298 sexdecies J and Annex IV of the French Tax Code.

Please acknowledge that you have read the above and will take appropriate actions.

I have acknowledged the statement but there is no ability in the shipping screen to provide the documents they require. I can easily get hold of them but there is literally no way to upload them. Can anyone from Amazon assist with this?

You'd need to open a case with seller support, and then possibly tag in some forum mods quoting your case ID, for them to look into it for you.
