response to customer....sorry to hear that your order was damaged. In order to get a refund, please follow Amazon's policy and submit an a-z claim...then give them a template as to how to file a claim.
Customer service is just telling you what the customer told them. Yes, I think they should deal with the refund issue, but they don't.

Anyone ever have UPS leave a package other than up the driveway or walkway near a door? They left it out near the street for porch pirates to see in the traveled portion of the driveway?

UPS around here normally leaves packages sitting out on the steps, doesn't even ring the doorbell. They left someone else's fairly large package there once. It said to keep it out of the sun, so we didn't want to just drop it off at the correct address. We took it over to the local UPS office & they didn't want to take it. Left it there anyway.
I think the post office does a better job.

Since the package was delivered, Amazon is responsible for resolving the issue under their A-to-Z Guarantee or Amazon Shipping policies if it was shipped using Amazon's Buy Shipping services. Also advise the customer to file an A-to-z Guarantee claim.
