ACCOUNT SET UP
Hi and hope you can help. Ive been trying to set up my account but unfortunately there is no help thus far.
I AM STILL TRYING TO VERIFY MY ACCOUNT. A TOTAL OF £30,00 WAS DEBITED FROM MY ACCOUNT. FURTHER AMOUNTS OF £1.00 AND SUBSEQUENT AMOUNTS £0.87 WERE ALSO DEBITED. I HAVE NOT EVEN LISTED ANY INVENTORY OR SET UP MY ACCOUNT YET. I VERIFIED MY ACCOUNT LAST WEEK AND WAITED FOR A FEW DAYS, HOPING THAT MY ACCOUNT WOULD HAVE BEEN VALIDATED BY NOW. AS THIS IS TOO CUMBERSOME, WITH NO SUPPORT FROM AMAZON SELLER - CAN MY ACCOUNT BE CANCELLED AND F SO, HOW DO I GET MY REFUND ALL MONIES DEBITED FROM MY ACCOUNT, INCLUDING THE SET UP FEE.

No need for CAPITOLS it's seen as shouting on forums.
Verification on Amazon takes time, sometimes weeks, especially at this time of year when there is an influx of new sellers trying to get set up in time for Christmas trading.
The £30 would be the £25+VAT/month professional selling plan, almost unavoiable as sign up but you can downgrade and request a refund from seller support once verified if you want. However if you're intending to make more than about 40 sales a month via Amazon it'll be cheaper to pay the subscription rather than 90p per sale. For some catagories the professional selling plan is manditory e.g. if you sell alcohol.
The other smaller amounts are for bank, charge method verification in various countries, those will drop off after a few days as Amazon doesn't complete the payments.
Amazon is both the biggest potential marketplace and the most difficult to navigate when you first start out. Stick with it and there can be good opportunities, especially if your product isn't already well served here by those happy to work on paper thin margins. Abandon your sign up now and you may ruin your chances of reapplying at a later stage so if you can see through the sign up stage and see how it goes.
