We had the same issue yesterday, and we are already VAT registered in the UK and all is set up okay. Only thought is some of our products have accidentally been listed on EU marketplaces. I have a ticket open with Seller Support, so I will try to provide an update."

People have say that it is due to a mismatch in address on companies house / vat certificate

Which has triggered this warning

same issue - have checked addresses and those are accurate and up to date, as is the VAT number. I even went through and hit save again on it. the status for me shows as "Verified - pending action" which is a bit confusing.

I only have UK enabled as marketplace.

Hi @Seller_hOjb81SaLIqmx,

I understand that receiving an at-risk notification can be unsettling. Allow me to provide you with some clarity on what is happening and what steps you can take.

As outlined in our European VAT registration requirements help page, Amazon continuously monitors seller activity for tax compliance. Even if you sell exclusively within the UK, the UK has its own domestic VAT registration threshold.

Once your sales exceed that threshold, you are required to register for VAT and provide a valid UK VAT registration number in Seller Central.

This notification is in place to give you time to act before any selling privileges are affected. It is not a penalty, but rather an early warning designed to help you avoid disruption to your account.

If you are unsure whether your sales have exceeded the UK VAT threshold or have questions about your specific obligations, we strongly recommend consulting a tax advisor, as Amazon is not able to provide individual tax advice.

If you already have your VAT number, the help page above also outlines the next steps for providing it in Seller Central.

I hope this helps bring some clarity to the situation. Please feel free to share a case ID on your thread for any specific concerns with the process.

The forums community and I are here to support you.

Thank you,

Remy

Several sellers are affected, including myself.

Same as you - my VAT is Verified, Pending action.

I added NI number and UTR, both accepted.

Try emailing:

resolution-tax-emea-sellers@amazon.co.uk

uk-vat-number-appeals@amazon.co.uk

managingdirector@amazon.co.uk

I emailed all 3 and within few hours got response from Escalation Team from MD email saying someone is looking at this case.

Good luck, and appreciate if you post if there's an update

I did yes. They responded within a day saying VAT information was validated and no further action is required.

But I still see a warning on my account

I am in the same boat, had the same response that they're looking into it. Bare in mind it says it'll be resolved in 72 hours I was told via email that it would be 14 days.

Not ideal if they decide something isn't correct and then I have to wait a further 14 days to verify that information.

So for me it took almost exactly 48 hours after confirmation email for account to show healthy again. Hopefully that's it for now

Hi,

Did you manage to get a resolution on this?

I've sent numerous emails, had multiple phone calls with seller support account health who all have told me something different every time.

Literally no idea what I need to do to fix what doesnt need fixing (been VAT reg for years, everything set up correctly). Just a time ticking down to deactivate my account for no reason and it is stressful!

Any help is appreciated! Thanks.

yes, after email the banner disappeared from my account, all healthy now.

Have you provided by UTR and NI? I have those shown as accepted
