How do I update my legal entity?
My Account has been deactivated as they want me to update my legal entity, however I cannot do this for some reason as the info I need to update. When i tried extra help to case log i got email (We have closed this case because Amazon has deactivated your account. Refer to your Account Health Dashboard to learn more about the status of your account.

Are you based in the UK ?
Did you sign up for an Individual Seller Account ? - that is only for selling off your own personal used items (eg. books, DVDs, CDs etc, NOT new items)
Do you intend to buy or make, items to sell on for profit ? If so you must have a BUSINESS Seller Account - the legal entity.
Have you registered with HMRC as self-employed (probably sole-trader) and received your UTR ?
If not that is the very first thing you must do, as Amazon will require your UTR to change the legal entity.
Once you have received your UTR you will then need to contact Seller Support (SS) via Help (top right) and tell them you need to change your legal entity and to open up the option.
Sorry for all the questions, but they are all relevant.

While registering the account, did you choose the right correct legal entity ?
Use the following information to select the correct legal entity:
– Individual: You must only choose this legal entity if you do not sell for profit. Individual sellers may list unwanted personal items, such as old DVDs or books.
– UK Sole Proprietor: This legal entity is for any commercial individual who sells for profit. A Sole Proprietorship is registered with Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC). There is no legal distinction between the owner and the business.
– State-owned: A business that is either wholly or partially owned and operated by a government.
– Publicly-listed: A business with shares listed on a stock exchange for public trading.
– Privately-owned (such as Limited, Partnership, International Sole Proprietor): A business controlled and operated by private individuals.
– Charity: Incorporated or non-incorporated tax-exempt body.
To update your legal entity complete the following instructions:
- Go to the “Identity information” section of Seller Central:
https://sellercentral-europe.amazon.com/sw/SSR/BusinessKYCInfo/spaDashboard - Click “Update now” on this page and select the business type from the drop down menu.
- Confirm the business details and click “Submit for Verification”.
