Incorrect FBA shipping weights leads to the overcharge
Hi All,
i noticed that the Small and Light FBA fee for number of my items has been changed from £0.65 to £1.00
Upon further checking i discovered that the shipping weight for several items has been changed from 10G to 110G which effectively does put this item in to the different S&L Fulfillment band. However the same items, but different variation ( like different colour) are still showing correct weight.
As a result i had been overpaid an FBA fees. As you might imagine the items selling price is below £9 and my margins are below £1, so increasing the fees for £0.3 will take a significant chunk of my margins.
I made a suggestion for Amason to revise the listing but as i’m not the owner and listing belongs to the brand i been advised that i need to discuss this with the brand owner.
I spoke with my account manager, but she said as they are worldwide corporation with thousands of SKU’s it is unlikely this would get anywhere soon as Amazon team is located abroad and it might take ages to action, if it would be.
Does anyone faced something similar and have any experience how to claim this money back from Amazon?
thanks

Go to help and type in the search ‘remeasure’
Enter the fnsku and they will weigh and measure the items
If found to be different to what’s on the listing, they will amend the fee and backdate any overcharged fees
Obviously this will only work though if you use fnsku labels. If you send in on manufacturer barcode and commingle, it maybe that another seller has packed theirs in a heavier packaging
Sounds like a great manager ! Hopefully they are not fba specialists

This happens all the time to me and a simple remeasure case as suggested by The Little Shop normally corrects this and they refund you overpaid fees.
