Amazon returned FBA item as 'defective' - nothing wrong with it
Today I received a unit back from Amazon with the pslip stating the item is 'defective'. The issue? Hard to tell really as there's nothing wrong with the product, it's in perfect condition, nothing wrong with the packaging, again in perfect condition.
I suspect the issue is that Amazon have decided to use the wrong image on the product page - the fulfilment operative has taken a quick look, spotted the wrong image but hasn't bothered to read the product title, hasn't read the product description, and hasn't checked the other product images, all of which are correct, they've just seen the wrong image and marked the item as defective.
I have previously raised a case asking for Amazon to remove the wrong image (I can't do it) but this simple matter seems to be overly complicated and of course I didn't get anywhere. It also looks like the correct images have been uploaded by other vendors, however Amazon are still using the wrong image.
Can a mod take a look at this? The case number is 10124165022.

The ONLY way a mod will look at or see your post is by tagging them in.

I can guarantee 100% an FC operative does not look at images, descriptions or titles.Every hour of their day is spend doing what the computer says.

Great - this seems to be sorted, correct image is now in place, so hopefully no more defects.

Hi ,
first of all , if the buyer states the item is defective when returning, Amazon will normally just send it back , the workers at Amazon shift through multiple thousands of returns each day and have a split second to decide , what should go back on sale . I have had plenty of times when they have put back on sale , when possibly they should not have done , this is more irritating .
That said if you are going to list a product with the wrong image , this is open to abuse reruns for item not as described and i really recommend that you do not list against a product even if identical if the listing page is not truly accurate
