Read onlyWe invite you to join us TODAY for our Ask Amazon Event focusing on the new VTR policy update.
We have updated our Valid Tracking Rate VTR policy for seller-fulfilled orders on the 15th of January, to allow customers to see tracking over a higher number of their orders.
Do you have questions about the recent changes? Then share them with us TODAY, 11th of February 2025, from 9 am to 5 pm (BST). You can post your questions in the comments below and we'll collaborate closely with our partner team to provide answers.
Please note: This event is intended for general questions and we cannot provide advice or feedback on individual cases.
We look forward to addressing your queries!
Are unscanned Royal Mail 24 / 48 and 1st and 2nd class Large Letters and Parcels still going to be 'validated' as they have been for the last few years, even though the confirmation of that happening has been removed from the new and updated VTR policy pages ?
Information does not match the document provided
THIS NOT THE CASE AND I CAN'T FIX THIS ISSUE SEVERAL TIMES NOW.
Untracked Royal Mail 1st and 2nd Class letter stamps and franking are exempt from VTR if purchased through Amazon Buy Shipping (at no extra cost).'
Can you please confirm this includes LARGE LETTERS as well as letters?
Also can you confirm if unscanned 1st & 2nd Class Royal Mail large letters not purchased through buy shipping (BPL) will be validated behind the scenes as they are now?
Can you confirm whether unscanned Royal Mail RM24/48 Large Letter items will continue to be validated as they have been before these changes - this seems to have been removed from the new policy wording
I understand that "Self Delivery" is not included in the VTR calculation. Does the same apply to shipping methods categorized as "Other"?
1) Cross-border 'letter' shipments below £20 are supposed to be exempted from VTR.
However, all our shipments to the UK (incl. the ones below the £20 threshold meeting Royal Mail's large letter criteria) are listed in the VTR report.
Do we have to indicate that the letter method was used by submitting particular value for the 'ship-method' field in the dispatch confirmation reports (the 'delivery service' field in seller central)?
Or does the exemption apply only when using Amazon buy shipping?
2) <<We will start enforcement of the new VTR policy on February 25, 2025.>>
VTR report is showing orders with the last promised delivery date within the 30 days window ending 10 days ago.
We've just started applying tracked shipping to all non-exempted shipments (including all small cross-border shipments to the UK, since the exemption doesn't seem to apply for those).
However, it will take over 3 weeks for this action to affect our VTR, meaning that on the 25th our VTR will still be very low.
What exactly does enforcing VTR policy on the 25th of February mean?
Will we be instantly penalized for low VTR on that day or only the orders placed on or after the 25th will be considered against the VTR target?
Hi Spencer, Could you please let us know which day Amazon may start closing down merchant seller accounts that have fallen below the 95% VTR?
We, like many others need to know so we can stop spending money on Amazon stock?
I say this because, it also appears that unscanned RM24/48 are now no longer able to be used since the line about Amazon verifying the tracking number hasn't been reinstated. That being Amazon was willing to put that aside NO SCANS on the numerous occasions of no scan being made by Royal Mail. And not penalise the seller.
Amazon is not saying it outright, but it looks like our choices are now AMAZON Buy Shipping, Fully Tracked services with integrated carriers, or Self-Delivery or even moving onto FBA and having to close our FBM account forever.
However, as it`s a 30 day rolling figure for VTR, even if many here take direct TODAY even those quick actions they could be removed from Amazon forever. As their last 30 days VTR is below 95%?
Thank you
1. Can you confirm that unscanned Royal Mail RM24/48 Large Letter items will continue to be validated as they have been previously
2. Can you let me know if you buy Royal Mail 2nd Class Large Letter through Click and Drop why this is never valid for VTR even if a delivery scan has taken place?
3. Why can't you buy some Royal Mail services through buy shipping. Such as Royal Mail on Account BPL products (Large Letters and Letters). It would be much easier to switch to buy shipping for VTR protection if you offered these services.
4. What is the policy on postage brought through Veeqo. As this is an Amazon product does it (or will it in the future) give you protection for VTR?
This would be really helpful to know as currently I have 2 choices when printing my letter postage from Buy Shipping -
print the postage label with the packing slip on a 6x4 label - in which case the postage label is portrait and really small or
print the postage label only - landscape (normal size) and then go backwards and forwards trying to figure out which order it is
Does Veeqo allow you to print a postage label and pick slip together - normal size - just like in Click and Drop ?
Amazon not following own policy (Seller protection when choosing Amazon Buy shipping).
Will Amazon now promise to follow their own policy, and protect Sellers from Negative Feedback, AZ claims etc when choosing Amazon buy Shipping?
Here is your policy, https://sellercentral.amazon.co.uk/help/hub/reference/G200202220?locale=en_GB
And yet, myself and other sellers over the years have had many instances where Buyers have opened cases, been successful, with it affecting ODR despite Sellers using Amazon Buy Shipping.
Please, do something about this, it is wasting time for both Sellers, the Forums and Moderators to go through the whole appeal for something that should be automated and it is in your own policy!!
Thanks
