Carrier Central UK

Hi, I’m sending in my first shipment to Amazon shortly and need to use my own courier. My items will be delivered as small parcel delivery as I don’t have the option of palletizing the shipment.

As far as I can make out it’s perfectly fine to do this based on the guidance but the carrier has asked me to book the carrier side to Amazon myself, using Amazon Carrier Central.

Has anyone done this before? In the guidance below, there is a link to an Excel file which I’m supposed to complete when booking my own small parcel delivery to Amazon and using my own courier, but the Excel file is all in German so not very helpful. The Carrier Central instructions also tell you to leave the “Load” field as “Palletized”, which is the default option. Is it right to do that if I’m sending in boxes instead of pallets?

  1. Booking a delivery at Amazon FC

Why do you need to use your own carrier? Amazon partnered carrier (UPS) is much cheaper than any carrier.

It is also worth considering what happens if your courier gets turned away. It happens a lot this time of year.

You will get less headaches using UPS. I’ve been FBA for 6 years, I cannot emphasise this enough.

Can they deliver 15kg for under £5? I doubt it.
