Liquidated stock being resold as new

I’ve noticed some of our brands are available from other sellers, we have all our PL stock made only for us & no one else. I can only put it down to liquidated stock.

How can other sellers be selling our returns as new? I didn’t spend hundreds if not thousands on ads/images/listings for someone else to click ‘sell it yourself’

What happens if the customer decides it’s not new & leaves negative reviews?

We’ve built up many years of good solid mainly 5 star reviews, in no way can this help.

Anyone else had anything similar?

I’ve contacted SS but as usual seems to be a waste of time…

Do a test purchase and see what comes.

Are you brand registered? There are additional tools there.

It may not be liquated stock it maybe copies.

Have a look on Alibaba and see if anyone has copied your designs and are selling them.

As suggested by another poster I would do a test purchase. If you are using Brand Registry on Amazon you can use that to remove sellers from listings.

I would suggest not liquidating your stock. That way you will not loose control of products. If you have used Amazon FBA stock liquidation it may be that those items were brand new and not actually damaged.

I suggest you read an article in the Times, business section. This issue can bankrupt people.

Any seller can sell using this option. It is on Amazon to decide whether they sell the correct products. As mentioned already by others, you can purchase this product, check it, and determine if you can take any action.

We have had a similar issue with this. What happened in our case was we had missing stock from FBA.

Amazon reimbursed our company then found the product. They then in their wisdom added the products to a mixed pallet and sold the "unmanifested pallet" to a third party.

Our branded product (we have full control over it) then ended up being sold for less than our RRP.

This is in Amazons T&Cs so I did not even bother trying to sort it out.

I suggest you check your FBA stock to see if you have missing items.

Liquidated stock, still in new and sellable condition, is still sellable stock . Returns that are not in new condition, are another matter - I'd not trust Amazon to determine which is which.

If purchased through liquidation by Amazon, they have the best invoices to challenge any IP issues. Always get your products returned to your warehouse, otherwise you wont be able to challenge fraud, damage due to shipping and handling by Amazon (put as customer damaged by the FC) and the many other issues you're probably losing money on.

We have dozens of sellers listing our brand on eBay, dropshipping via Amazon (from our own FBA listing) and then fraudulently claiming refunds from Amazon on goods that have correctly been delivered to the genuine original customer. Neither eBay nor Amazon seem minded to prevent this widescale fraud. I wouldn't be surprised if the crooks have started applying the same methodology on Amazon listings. Test order to see if they are dropshipping your original goods from your own listings.

Hey there @Seller_t3ptdH2j8IT6N,

You definitely got some great responses here! Interested to know what you're next steps are but for sure would advise you to check out Brand Registry, if you have not registered your brand on it, I would highly recommend that you do so.
