Amazon deleting genuine reviews?
A customer contacted me today to say their review has been deleted, they seemed a little annoyed but after I asked them why I would delete a positive review they calmed down a little and then the conspiracy theories started. On closer inspection amazon has deleted two reviews on one of my products, the other one deleted I remember in great detail as it was my first review I received and included some really interesting tips.
Is it know for amazon to just delete positive reviews?

Amazon or Amazon software have identified those reviews as suspect or bought and paid for . Not saying they are but that is what Amazon thinks .
The reviewer may also be on a known list of people that accept payments for reviews .

It’s normal. We have same situatuation in every market we sell. Amazon delete 10-15 feedbacks every month. Only positive ones =))

Amazon decidied to delete a further bunch of reviews, just so happened these were only positive ones too.
As a test a few days a go I got a friend of a friend to purchase an item from me and then leave a review, two hours later it was removed, so I did something else, bought one of my items myself through my personal account and left a two star review… it’s still there even after reporting it myself.
I hate to make such a presumption but is someone within amazon deleting my positive reviews? Why if so?
I think an angry phone call to seller support is in order.

Asking someone to purchase my product and leave me a review is not violating amazon terms and conditions, I understand if I offer them financial reward or ask them to leave a positive review then that would be in breach of them.
