Am I allowed to use stickers over my product packaging?
Hi all, I have recently seen a Linkedin post from an Amazon agency saying that sellers must use brand logos permanently affixed to their product packaging or have their FBA inventory rejected or even disposed of. While I know from experience that it is not possible to enroll a brand into Amazon Brand Registry without first providing a picture of a product packaging with the brand logo permanently affixed to the packaging, this is only for brand registry enrollment and I am not sure if the same rule applies to FBA-destined products. So to my understanding, once the brand is enrolled, Amazon does not care if the FBA stock has the brand logo affixed to the packaging in a permanent manner or not. We have many products that we use stickers to comply with the local laws as we sell globally. Any thoughts?

Hi @Seller_mGWoqAZvKQxvf,
Dominic from Amazon here, happy to provide additional info!
We would always recommend to accurately represent the product so that it has the brand name on the product as well. There's a few reasons to this.
- If you encounter trademark issues, Brand Registry can take action accurately if brand names are affixed to the product and it matches the application.
- Amazon's policies allow any seller to list items for sale on an ASIN so long as the intellectual property accurately represents the item being sold and has not been illegally reproduced. Having a brand name on the product will help eliminate these issues long term.
Best,
Dominic
