Read onlyHello fellow sellers,
AI have recently had a customer who returned the wrong item and does not want it back but instead wants us to refund them anyway.
This is very obviously a case of two returns sent to the wrong sellers, and I would assume the other seller won't refund them either.
Both ours and this other product are close to $200 each.
I did reach out to the customer and offered to send this item back and that I would refund them once we receive ours back.
They said "This is UPS's fault, and I should not be liable for their mistake. I shipped on time. Refund me anyway."
In this case-scenario I would think to issue a 100% restocking fee for a "Materially different" item.
Anything else I should/ can do in this situation?
Thank you!
Make sure to take a picture of the returned product, in the shipping box, and send that to the buyer. Tell them this is what you returned. This will be the only way you can add a picture later, by mentioning it's in the message.
