Few sellers have the opportunity to use an account manager.
If the offer came directly from Amazon, you should definitely take an advantage of it.

Hi, firstly I would be sure to check the email you received is not unsolicited / as it could be someone trying to compromise your account details.
You would think the Amazon Account Manager would make first contact by telephone, then email you afterwards with confirmation of the telephone call and their contact details.
Can you post the email you received ?

Also be aware we are regularly contacted by “Account Managers” at Amazon, but all they want to do is push us into PAN EU FBA and it’s a hard sell. They normally call prior to sending any emails so check that is a genuine email, they sign off the footer with a name and typically the detail below;

What’s the programme that you’re being asked to join?
In my experience you only have the option to use an account manager if you participate in a programme such as Pan EU.

Jump at the chance, not many sellers are given an account manager.
You’ll be given an account manager for one year, and they’ll be able to help you grow and develop your Amazon seller account.
Make sure you don’t add any products for sale before replying to the account manager. This means your account has gone live, and account managers need to be assigned to an account before it goes live.

we were ‘given’ an account manager at the end of last year due to our high sales volume. We thought about time until we had a problem and asked them to help out! Suddenly it was a case of they were only there to help us grow the account by going FBA or seller prime!

Account managers are common, they are meant to be able to help with a number of issues but I can’t say they have been much use unfortunately. It seems to depend on the person, for the most part they seem to be very busy pushing PAN EU.

Ive been contacted in the past.
All they want is to sign you up on FBA or do sponsored products
Im 99% certain that is what it will be so dont get too excited.

we have an account manager, worst than useless!
Can never get hold of him on the phone, never helps or solves any issues we have and seems to only be able to deal with our shipping templates. As above have mentioned its usually a hard sell to get you to join other marketplaces, advertising campaigns etc
