How long does it take to get a time slot Amazon FBA warehouse?

Hi,
I’ve sent a second pallet to amazon fba warehouse in the UK and both times it took a while to get it delivered. Our courier says they are waiting for Scheduled Amazon time slot. How long usually does it take? So i would know if its a regular thing or should i reconsider my choice of courier company.

quite normal our gear can take anything from 1 day to 2 weeks to appear live on the site from dispatching it is not the courier companies fault they can only deliver when amazon allow them to
then once delivered they could sit there for days waiting to be processed
