EPR for DE problem: " The VAT or business ID and the legal name associated with this registration number do not match the information provided to Amazon."
Hello,
I got my EPR number from one of Amazon partners: tbaeu.com .
Submitted it to Amazon and got this error after a few days: “The VAT or business ID and the legal name associated with this registration number do not match the information provided to Amazon.”
I cannot see where is the problem… I am a sole trader, the shop is my name (and so is the business), I’ve tried to open a few cases with Amazon - they did not help at all…
Did anyone else had this issue? how did you solve it?

I am on the same boat. At first I registered with Lucid using my own name due to be a sole trader, but then decided to uptade my details on Lucid using my Amazon shop name instead of my own.
Got rejected both times.
Contacted Seller S. 2 days ago and I am still waiting for a resolution.

This seems like another thread for the same issue whereby sole traders cannot successfully register their details - but only with amazon
Is anyone on here a sole trader that has successfully registered - with amazon
I note ‘with amazon’ as it seems the lucid etc registration is OK

Have the same issue… I am talking to the support for more than two weeks now. No actual help. Probably at the end, they will block my listings because the seller support is just there to copy-paste stuff and offer 0 actual support.

Hello @Amazonseller
This is Noor from Amazon to help you with your concerns. Thank you for providing insight into your current account status. My goal is to give you further guidance on the next steps.
If your VAT is issued to a person in the case of a sole proprietor business, you need to change the name of the company in the business information field to either the name written on the VAT or add the Name of the person holding the VAT to the company name.
For Example “Business X Inh. Max Mustermann”. When doing so, your account will be going through a review process – you can contact the team at verkaeufer-verifikation-anfrage@amazon.de for further information.
For more information on EPR and vat registration, you can also click here- EPR and VAT.
The forums community and I are here to support you. Please let us know how we can help you from this point forward.
Thanks & Regards,
Noor.

Ditto, same problems. Everything is identical between Amazon info and Lucid info, yet keeps getting rejected. I’m a sole trader too.
Rather than a generic “does not match” warning, how about putting EXACTLY what fields are not matching. Something a bit more helpful.

The same situation for me here also, I’m a NON-VAT registered sole trader.
I’ve tried re-submitting my LUCID number on several occasions and no matter what I change in my LUCID account I’m always met with the same error message on verification below:
The VAT or business ID and the legal name associated with this registration number do not match the information provided to Amazon.
I only really registered with LUCID for my eBay sales, but entered it on Amazon too. What’s incredibly frustrated is that it’s accepted there, but not in my Amazon account. Fortunately, 99% of my Amazon sales are UK-based customers, but I do/did offer European postage to Germany.

@ Noor_Amazon is there anything you can do to help?
It is very urgent, I just received performance notification a notification under my account health about this issue, see title (“Amazon Selling account – Upload your EPR registration number”)
I will greatly appreciate if someone can help me.
Also I do not understand how come on one hand Amazon is sending me performance notification asking me to upload the EPR number, and on the other hand you reject my number without and not responding to my case about it.

@Ash_Amazon - This from the EPR help page -
8. How does Amazon validate my LUCID registration number?
Amazon will validate this number with ZSVR within three business days after submission. We will notify you when the validation result is available. Consider that Amazon will use your VAT or taxpayer reference number, your company name and address to validate your LUCID number. Ensure that the data on the LUCID packaging register matches the one you have provided to Amazon.
Can you PLEASE shed some light on why sole traders keep getting rejected by Amazon, when the details are perfectly fine for other marketplaces and as per the instructions, my correct tax ref number, address and company name are in Lucid. Just like the many others Amazon have rejected.
