Primary user does not exist
Hi guys I have what seems to be a huge issue with my Amazon account where Amazon does not recognise any account for my Primary User login.
The primary user email and login is ‘primary@website.com’
However If i attempt to log in to Seller Central with this email address, it tells me there is no account with this email. I’ve tried creating new accounts using this email but it has not made any difference.
If i log back in to Seller Central with my secondary user account, I can see that the Primary User on the account is indeed listed as ‘primary@website.com’.
The main issue here is that I cannot authorise any 3rd party tools or access such as AVASK or Sellerboard as I can’t log in as my own primary user.
I have been around the houses with both Seller Support and the UK customer support and so far there has been nothing anywhere near approaching a solution to this.
I have gotten by so far using secondary account for everything but eventually will need Primary User access.
Has anyone got any clue how I might solve this?

Are you logging into to seller central on .com or .Co.uk ?

So how many times have you tried creating new accounts ? - this will have caused a major problem as you are only allowed one seller account unless the new account meets certain strict criteria.

Just read your previous thread about changing to a ltd company - did you proceed with this ?
There was another seller last week who did the same and now they cannot access their account with Registered email address either
If so, seems an issue with transferring accounts

hey guys thanks for the follow ups:
-I only have one seller account and one primary user, but I have secondary users which I use to log in and have permissions do most activities on SC (but obviously not Primary User access) - these were created when the Primary User account was still working (September 2021). It’s not clear when it stopped being recognised by Amazon.
-I have not tried making any new seller accounts, I tried making new buyer accounts with the Primary User email, as I was told that buyer and seller accounts are linked so this might be a way to get it ‘re-activated’ again, but it hasn’t worked.
