Amazon Print on Demand - easy to set up?
I offer a range of motor vehicle owner handbooks for Japanese import vehicles that have been translated from Japanese to English by a company in New Zealand.
There is a lot of overhead in the actual production of the books then the shipment of usually 50 - 100Kg of books at a time from New Zealand to the UK.
The publisher seems interested enough that Amazon Print on Demand service could be a good alternative - a big reduction in cost and effort, and a trackable method (monthly Amazon Statement) of getting a commission per sale for the publisher.
I have personally purchased a number of IT books through Amazon that are Clearly PoD - and to be fair, the service is quick and the book quality absolutely fine.
What are people's experience who have used Amazon Print on Demand to publish books?

I have been using KPD. I created a handful of books a few years ago and they are consistently selling, ok not a lot, but considering that I published them and forgot about them, it's a success as i get some money every month. Now I think that there is potential and as there are no costs to set it up therefore it's worth a try imho.
