Transferring seller account to my son
Hi all,
I have an individual seller account on an individual (not professional) plan.
My son is turning 18 and I would like to give him my seller account fully.
Can I just edit my personal details and bank account to his, or is there another way I should go about this.
Many thanks

As its an individual account, your son needs his own - you can’t transfer yours
You can have 2 accounts if they are separate entities and don’t sell same items

If you are on an individual seller account, you are not a business therefore nothing to transfer
If your son is a business, he’ll need his own business account
If he’s an individual, he’s better off selling off his own second hand items on ebay

There is nothing to gvie him. Just open his own account.
Your account isn’t a business, it is just you selling off your own personal used goods - right?
And ultimately no, you cannot transfer an individual account to someone else for exactly that reason.

At that point I was thinking about becoming an LTD and starting a business on amazon but never got round to it.
He is hoping to create an LTD

Are you just selling off your own used second hand items currently ?
If so, he needs his own account
If not, you shouldn’t be registered as an individual

Not actually selling anything, it’s a dead account.

Must be a different DH Stores with feedback 2 weeks ago

I did think it was best for him to just open an account but I read somewhere there can’t be more than one account in the same household?

The Individual Seller Account is ONLY for selling off your own personal second-hand items, and if your son opens the same that is all he can do too.
Are you, and he, fully aware of all the requirements etc of having a ltd company, and he will need a Business Seller Account, not individual - though can be on either selling plan (Professional or individual).
