Are Private Sellers allowed to sell Board Games?
I have some board games to sell. They are new unwanted gifts.
However, when I try to list it says “You need approval to list products in the Toys & Games category”. When I click the “request approval” button it wants me to submit invoices for the items I have purchased wholesale.
I can’t provide such invoices as I didn’t purchase these items wholesale, in fact I didn’t even purchase these items!
I have been selling on Amazon for approx the 3ish years as a private seller, selling off my unwanted DVD and book collection

I’m afraid the answer is in your question. Unless you have wholesale invoices you will not be allowed to list in that category.
I would try Ebay.

Have you tried listing them as Used-Like New ? That should not require you to submit invoices.
I have listed board games in the past. A while back, when I tried to list some jigsaws I got a message similar to yours saying that I needed approval to list educational toys. In my case when I clicked request approval it was granted automatically.

I think you could possibly on amazon.co.uk / sell used items?
As a professional seller probably not

Can’t anyone be a wholesaler? hypothetically speaking what if you started your own wholesale company then generated an invoice?

When I try to list the game, it shows no restrictions:
Unless you establish a good selling history in the Toys & Games category, Amazon will not allow you to sell there without having valid invoices and getting approved.
