Read onlyHi everyone,
I've been selling on Amazon for a while now and noticed a frustrating pattern that I’m sure many of you can relate to. When something goes slightly wrong even if it's out of our control customers are quick to leave negative feedback. But when everything goes perfectly, they rarely take a moment to leave a positive review. Why is that?
We work hard to meet expectations, offer fast shipping, good packaging, and responsive customer service. But when things go smoothly, silence. One small issue, and bam 1 star.
I’m curious:
What strategies are YOU using to encourage more positive feedback from happy customers?
What are you doing to reduce the chances of unfair or impulsive negative ones?
Also, what is Amazon doing (or should be doing) to create a fairer balance? It feels like sellers are constantly on the back foot trying to defend themselves.
Would love to hear your thoughts and real world solutions.
Thanks,
Hi intoTheWorld,
Most customers seem to expect a perfect experience when they order from Amazon's site.
So when they get this, they are not pleased, it's just what they expected.
When they don't get it, they are irritated/annoyed and want to exress this disatisfaction...
There have been many posts on the Forums about the poor level of positive feedback - the only businesses that seem to get LOTS are the bulk book merchants - you could try asking them...
All Best
Brian
