Order for 2 Items But One Out of Stock
Please can someone advise… I’ve informed the customer and marked the available item as shipped.
I marked the other as zero quantity shipped and fully refunded that item, but the system still shows the refunded item as waiting to be shipped.and does not give cancellation as an option
Should I mark this unshipped/unfulfilled one as shipped?
Not sure how to proceed?

Unfortunately, the way you’ve written this doesn’t quite make sense. Could you explain the situation a little more clearly, so that we can all understand?

I believe what has happened is a customer has placed 1 order that contains 2 items. You didn’t have stock of 1, so you set the qty of 1 of the items in the shipment to 0 and confirmed the shipment for the order.
At that point - you won’t be able to cancel as you’ve shipped the order.
We have some in our Unshipped list like that as well. I’m not sure if there is anything you can do beyond what you have done. We do the same as you and just refund the OOS lines. Unfortunately, the unshipped items will remain on your unshipped list.
Happy to be told otherwise though if anyone has more experience of this!

I have always dealt with this situation by marking the whole order as shipped and then refunding the appropriate amount.
Also send a message to the customer to explain what has happened and include a note in the package in case the customer doesn’t see the Amazon message.
