Weee epr any one know anything about this?

My sales channels worldwide have been restricted. it appears to be asking for numbers to be able to sell electrical items to Germany. one I do not sell any electrical items anywhere and I have no lisiting available for sale in Germany for over 2 years.
here is the notice I received Dear Seller,

Your registration number(s) (WEEE-Reg.-Nr.) for Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) regarding Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) in Germany is missing.
Please, add your number(s) as soon as possible on the Compliance Portal to avoid deactivation of your non-compliant listings starting June 5, 2023.
If you already have a case opened in this regard, please go to Your Case Log in Seller Central, find your case which includes “Action needed – EPR Requirement for WEEE” in the title and follow the steps.
If not, find out more information about your WEEE EPR Compliance requirements in Germany, visit the EPR WEEE Help page.

I acknowledge that I have read the instructions above and I will take the steps required for the following account and MP:

I have had the message too. I am starting to think they have just sent it to everyone.

I had a problem a while ago with similar message about registering for Swedish VAT. After spending hours and hours trying to get to the bottom of it, one of their many replies was that they probably sent it just to remind me how important compliance is.

We had a phone call from Amz DE about this. I tired to explain that we did not sell anything electrical. On DE we only sell mugs and cotton tote bags. Neither category requires WEEE compliance. They put me on hold for 10 minutes while they checked our listings and came back confirming that we didn’t sell any electrical items. I thought it was weird and initially thought it may be a scam call. It was a legitimate call. :woman_shrugging:

It was a strange message. Mine said my international selling was suspended but it said if I did not take action they would remove the affected products from sale.

This does not make sense as there is no point removing suspected products from sale if they have suspended the account.

It is like saying we will use this sledge hammer to crack the nut and then we will carefully remove the small bits of crushed nut.

Have you actually checked that your international sales are suspended? I did not check before I clicked the box.

I had the same, very threatening message pop up. I’ve ignored this until now as I do not sell electrical goods. I will continue to ignore this, as the apparent outcome is suspension of affected listings.

We had this too. Stressy, but ticked the box saying will do what is required and the yellow threat disappeared. We do not sell anything electrical either and have been EPR compliant since it was required. Looks like we actually do not need to do anything unless we sell electrical goods in DE.

There is a report you can run.

Seller Central, Reports, FBA Reports, EPR Category.

If you run this report it will tell you which items it thinks are a problem. They will have EEE in the EPR_CATEGORY column.
